Our Approach to HVAC Maintenance

HVAC companies handle ongoing maintenance in many different ways. Some use annual service agreements. Others offer maintenance clubs, monthly memberships, prepaid plans, or packages that combine maintenance with discounts, priority scheduling, or other benefits.

Those programs can make sense when the customer values what is included. But we do not think an ongoing maintenance relationship has to be complicated.

At Deschutes, we have chosen a simpler approach.

We Keep Track and Remind You

When we maintain your equipment, the visit becomes part of your service history with us. We keep track of when maintenance is due and reach out with a reminder when it is time to consider scheduling again.

If we do not hear back, we may send another reminder later.

From there, the decision is yours.

There is no required monthly maintenance subscription and no need to sign a service agreement simply so we will continue maintaining your equipment. When maintenance is due, you can schedule it and pay for the service you receive.

Why We Do Not Require a Maintenance Club

Maintenance plans are often built around benefits such as repair discounts, scheduled visits, or some form of priority service. For some homeowners, a bundled program may be worthwhile.

Our preference is to keep the relationship more straightforward.

We want to maintain your equipment, keep useful records over time, remind you when service is due, and be here when you need us. We do not think you should have to purchase membership status just to have an ongoing relationship with our company.

That also means you do not have to decide whether you will use enough discounts or other benefits to justify another recurring charge. You can simply schedule the maintenance and service you need when you need it.

Your Existing Relationship With Us Matters

One of the common benefits promoted with HVAC maintenance memberships is priority service.

We understand why that matters. When the furnace stops working on a cold day or the air conditioner quits during a stretch of hot weather, homeowners want to know that someone will respond.

We work hard to organize our service department so we can respond quickly when customers need help. We also value the people who already rely on Deschutes and make every reasonable effort to take care of our existing customers when service demand is high.

You do not have to join a club for that relationship to matter.

Response time will always depend on the situation, technician availability, location, weather, and the volume of service calls at the time. We do not promise that every call can be handled immediately. What we can say is that responsiveness is something we take seriously and work deliberately to provide.

A Long-Term Relationship Without Another Subscription

Our goal is not simply to perform one maintenance visit and disappear. We want to be the company you are comfortable calling year after year.

That means keeping your equipment history, reminding you when maintenance is due, answering questions when you have them, and being responsive when something goes wrong.

We would rather build that ongoing relationship by taking good care of you than require a membership in order to maintain it.
